December Daily Day Eight

For my December Daily today, I added a pocket page so that I could keep my journaling card, hotel key card, and the menu of the restaurant we ate at that night. I slit a hole into the plastic sheet where the pocket opens.  On the right, you can see how beautifully lit up Napa is at night during December.

Have a lovely day.

December Daily Page Six and Seven

December Daily page six was all about the kids being home from school because of the fires in Southern California.  While we weren't in danger, the air quality was poor.  My husband made us all my daughter's favorite breakfast, a breakfast burrito filled with eggs, sausage, bacon, and pico de gallo.  Sounds amazing, doesn't it?

Day seven shows some of our family's Christmas decorations. My daughter drew the hilarious Santa on her large whiteboard, while I made the ornament wreath this year with Dollar Store ornaments. I made one for my sister for her birthday present and liked it so much I made one for us, too.

December Daily Day 4 and 5

Good morning, scrapbook friends. Today I have my fourth and fifth December Daily pages to share with you(journaling card on left covered for privacy). Day four was the start of my son's Mountain Bike Team practices, while my husband and daughter played a fierce game of ping pong on our dining table.

The "He looks like a Pink Nightmare" card references the movie, "A Christmas Story".  Day five is all about the Christmas movies we like to watch every year.

December Daily Day 3

December is moving right along!  Where does all the time go?  Today's December Daily is all about our Christmas tree.  We love pulling out old and new ornaments and talking about when and where they came from.

Have a wonderful day!

December Daily Day Two

One the second day of December, we had friends over.  It was so lovely to see the kids playing happily together, while the adults chatting happily away.  I'm enjoying how quickly my December Daily scrapbook is coming together.  I'm new to pocket pages and the 6x8" album size, but I have to admit they are perfect for a mini album.

Thanks for stopping by to take a peek!

December Daily Day 1

December is such a fun month for our family and it starts with an advent calendar, so that is what I focused on the first day of my December Daily album. Usually just the kids get one, but this year I made one for my husband, as well.   It's fun seeing how excited they are to open them every day.

Hope your December is off to a great start! Thanks for stopping by.

December Daily Album 2017 Inspiration page

Hello, crafters.  This is the first year that I am going to create a December Daily album.  The idea is that you scrapbook a page or two every day during the month of December, in order to capture all your family's tradition and holiday fun.  To make this a little less daunting, I am going to use a 6x8" Simple Stories S@ap album which also uses pocket pages.  December is, after all, extremely busy.

Here is the first page of my December Daily album.  I created it on Word by adding a picture to my document, changing the photo to black and white, and then printing it with my intro on vellum paper. I love how it turned out.  The vellum lays against patterned paper with snowflakes, which adds a little more dimension to the page.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a lovely day!

Thursday, November 30, 2017

Hello, friends.  Today I am scrapbooking a picture of my son graduating from 8th grade.

This was a great day, not only because it represented a step towards adulthood, but also because he willing put on a collared shirt and tie!  Doesn't he look just like his dad?  I love seeing his face in this picture.  Right now he is participating in "No Shave November".  I guess that is a thing in high school.  He practically has a beard!  That makes me think...I should take a picture for a scrapbook page.

Thanks for stopping by!

Meet Me by Nikki Beach

It's time for another scrapbooking challenge over at Sketches In Thyme.  I decided to use photos of my favorite place, Nikki Beach.  Nikki Beach is a beautiful seaside place on the french island, St. Barthelemy.  With the warm ocean steps away, delicious food, a wide selection of champagne, and a great deejay, what more could you ask for?

I just love that this week's sketch challenge included multiple pictures.  Anytime I can add three or more photos to a page is a fun challenge for me.  Here's the original sketch:

Don't forget to link up your pages at Sketches in Thyme, so that you are entered to win a prize!
Happy Scrapping!

This is as good as it gets.

Good morning, friends.  Today I have a layout featuring my two darling children standing in front of our Christmas tree last year.  Although we often like to travel during the holidays, we decided to stay home last year.  It was such a really wonderful time and allowed us to spend lots of quality time together and focus on one another.  Just looking at this photo of them makes me feel so happy :)  This  year I am going to try to record all the fun by doing a December Daily mini album.  (Thank you Stacy for encouraging me to make one.)

The card on the left reads, "Dear Santa, I don't need anything. I already have an amazing family and beautiful life."  I am so very blessed. Life IS beautiful!

Have a great day!
